Attention future Half-Line Hunters

Sorry to say that I’m still waiting on the Vergo device for the Halfline system. Trango who makes the Vergo has been experiencing issues with the back plate coming off their press. Not a safety issue but a cosmetic one so they had to scrap all the current product and reboot their system to print off the correct stamp .

This couldn’t come at a worse time. In the meantime I’m currently purchasing some Gri Gri + which are slightly larger in size but offer a better braking system with their panic feature . Normally with all belay devices If you engage the brake to hard it will drop you at a fast rate of speed . With the Gri Gri + if you pull to hard on the brake past the sweet spot it will automatically lock up arresting your descent.

You simply let it go and engage again to find the sweet spot descending under control.

The Gri Gri + has always been a favorite for Newbies learning to descend. It also offers a smooth ascent in climbing up.

The Gri Gri + will add an increase of $30 dollars to the kit price.

So if you’re in a hurry to get Half-lining this will be available by early next week.

Vergos should be back in stock by Mid September from what they tell me.
